When you have a problem, people tend to focus on the reason why you CAN’T do it. Instead focus on what the solutions to the problem might be.
“I can’t pass my push-ups test”
Poor thinking – “I’m just not good at push-ups.”
Solution oriented thought – “I will follow the push up chart everyday until I hit my goal.”
“My child is just not good at _____”
Poor thinking – “He/she will not be good at _____ because _____.”
Solution oriented thought – “My child is not good at _____ so I will give them little assignments and projects to help them strengthen that skill.”
